Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using PreMedEU. By creating an account or accessing our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PreMedEU.

1. Who We Are

PreMedEU (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online educational platform that provides question banks, study materials (the “Codex”), and mock examinations to help prospective medical students prepare for university entrance examinations in Hungary and across the European Union.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use PreMedEU. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features of PreMedEU. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether authorised by you or not.
  • Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Certain features of PreMedEU require a paid subscription (“Pro” or “Master” plan). Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout.

  • All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial-period refunds are issued except as required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

5. EU Right of Withdrawal — Digital Content Waiver

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and its implementing national legislation, consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving reasons.

However, pursuant to Article 16(m) of the Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, where:

  • Performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent, and
  • The consumer has acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.

By completing your subscription purchase and accessing PreMedEU's digital content (Q-Bank questions, Codex articles, mock exams), you expressly request immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal from that moment.

This waiver does not affect your statutory rights in the event of defective or non-conforming digital content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on PreMedEU — including but not limited to Q-Bank questions, answer explanations, Codex articles, AI-generated study materials, mock examinations, graphics, and the PreMedEU brand — is the exclusive intellectual property of PreMedEU or its licensors and is protected by copyright, database rights, and other applicable laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use PreMedEU content solely for your own private study. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any questions or explanations.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content from the platform.
  • Share your account credentials or allow third parties to access the platform through your account.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any PreMedEU content.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from the platform.

Any violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination and may give rise to civil or criminal liability.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PreMedEU to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful computer code.
  • Engage in any activity that unreasonably burdens our infrastructure (e.g., excessive automated requests).

8. Disclaimers

PreMedEU is an educational study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Semmelweis University, University of Szeged, University of Pécs, University of Debrecen, or any other educational institution.

While we strive for accuracy in all content, PreMedEU makes no warranty that the Q-Bank questions, Codex articles, or mock exams accurately reflect current or future examination syllabi. Past performance in practice materials does not guarantee success in official examinations.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PreMedEU and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or examination results, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — PreMedEU, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to PreMedEU in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is irreversible; your learning data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine in our sole discretion that you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from any mandatory protective provisions of the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by contract.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by a prominent banner on the platform at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of PreMedEU after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
